Hands-on House is now approved as an Educational Improvement Organization (EIO)
At the Children's Museum of Lancaster, we are committed to providing vital programming and a rare "third space" for early childhood learning through our exhibits, classes/workshops, and Discovery-to-Go outreach programs.
We are so excited to be approved as a EIO under the EITC program! We are seizing this opportunity to expand our programming for the '25-'26 school year, particularly to children in low education enrichment areas and from underserved communities.
This is not a luxury.
Research has shown that third grade achievement is higher among children that have museum experiences in early childhood---with the greatest benefit received by children with the fewest resources.
Your contribution now is an investment in the future or our museum, its programs, and the thousands of children we serve every year.
As you are planning for 2026, please consider partnering with us as we begin our 2025-2026 programming.
Thank you for supporting education in our communities. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions.
A legacy that spans generations
Hands-on House is a place where families return, year after year, to reconnect with curiosity, creativity, and one another.
From the beginning we have been here to foster the intellectual, social, and emotional development of thousands of children, offering exhibits and experiences that empower them to connect, create, and learn through immersive, independent, and purposeful play.
Hands-on House is STILL (nearly 40 years later) here because of the support from people like you—-still inspiring curiosity, creativity, and immersive learning for a new generation of kids. This work, as a non-profit, depends on our community.
