Touch-A-Truck

Join us Saturday, April 26th: 10am-2pm Rain or Shine

We believe purposeful play + memorable experiences foster a life-long love of learning.

Touch-A-Truck is an opportunity to get an up-close look at big trucks and unique vehicles! But more importantly—it’s a chance for children to:

  • Explore exciting careers in construction, public safety, farming, and more
  • Meet heroes in the community
  • Engage in hands-on activities and use their imagination

Learn more about attendance, vehicles, and sponsorship opportunities below!

Attendance

NEW THIS YEAR: Donate-what-you-wish admission! Attendees may choose a desired donation amount at check-in on the day of the event. No pre-registration is required.

Our suggested donation amount is $10 per person attending but you may choose any desired amount for entry. This donation supports year-round experiences, exhibits, and programs we provide at the museum!

Every donation of $10 will receive a thank you gift

Important Parking information:

We will have some on-site parking at the museum on Saturday as well as alternate parking + shuttle bus at Calvary Church down the road. Please see the maps below.

Options:

  • Check Hands-on House to see if there is parking available. If our lot is full, you can drop off your guests in the circle (in front of the museum) and the driver can head to Calvary Church to park and wait for the shuttle.

  • Avoid the rush, head straight to calvary church and wait for the shuttle to bring all your guests to the museum. When you are ready to return to your vehicle, please send one person to ride the shuttle back to your car at Calvary. You can then return to pick up your guests at Hands-on House.

Hands-on House parking lot:

721 Landis Valley Road

Lancaster PA 17601

Bring a vehicle

Have an interesting vehicle that kids would LOVE to interact with? Be sure to fill out our commitment form below!

Please note, this is not a car show. Our goal is to offer kids an unforgettable experience that gives them a chance to sit in the driver's seat and learn about each vehicle's use.

Sponsor

Make a Lasting Impact: Your sponsorship directly supports Hands-on House programs and exhibits, helping us provide a critical third space where children can develop essential skills, explore their interests— where their families can find support + develop friendships.

Engage with Families: With over 700 attendees, Touch-A-Truck is a fantastic way to showcase your business, interact with local families, and build brand awareness in a meaningful and memorable way. Your business will be celebrated through event promotions, signage, and marketing exposure, ensuring your contribution is recognized across Lancaster County.

Support Future Dreamers & Doers: From sensory exploration, to learning about simple machines and discovering careers in construction, public safety, transportation, and beyond, kids get a hands-on experience that could shape their future aspirations—and you get to be part of that journey.
